Google Earth 5 goes for a swim

I’m a huge fan of Google Earth and it looks like the latest version will not disappoint. The newest version features a time travel option to show you what places looked like back in history and ocean views. The Ocean views provide a dip into the blue yonder with accompanying video from National Geographic and some seascape profiles. I’m looking forward to the day when the Woods Hole guys link their ocean floor mapping into something as easy to access as Google Earth.

I’ve also had this idea for a while of a map of the oceans that only shows the water component. No land masses, no ocean floors, just water floating in suspension in some watery orb.
