Good news: Go Botany’s Simple Key feature is now available to the public!
The FTS team has been working with the folks at New England Wild Flower Society for over a year now on their robust web application project (refer to our previous post here,); the launch of the Simple Key feature marks a big landmark in their process, but there is more yet to come.
Go Botany is a web application for anyone from students to botanists to nature-lovers; the Simple Key area helps users identify plants based on features and environment. Several multi-layered advanced searches increasingly reduce the number of possibilities based on the information you provide until the plant is identified. Luckily for you, the Simple Key has launched just in time for spring and summer. Thanks New England Wild Flower Society for offering this free digital educational resource to the New England community & beyond.
Below are some detail shots of the designs we (and the project developers) created for this area of the application, but be sure to check out the Go Botany Simple Key for yourself because it’s much cooler in action.
