FTS Work-ation In Costa Rica

Like what you see here?  So do we.

In the upcoming months, handfuls of Fresh Tilled Soil employees will be work-ationing in Costa Rica. It’s an incentive based program, so only those who meet or exceed pre-established professional goals will be eligible to go.

You may not be familiar with our newly coined phrase, “workation.” It’s what we call a working vacation, where you work very efficiently for a few less hours a day (say 6 focused, productive hours instead of a full 8-12,) in a new and beautiful environment.

The idea is to create more work-life balance for Fresh Tilled Soil employees, to provide new cultural and creative perspectives that enrich our professional work and contribute to personal well-being. Fresh Tilled Soil team members are expected to maintain the same responsibilities as if they were in the office, but invited to enjoy some time surfing or relaxing under a palm tree once they’re finished. Sometimes your best work is produced when you look past your laptop and see big lapping waves and an infinite horizon. (It’s nice that technology’s made that possible– isn’t it?)

Our first group of lucky employees is going to be sent on their way as early as this June; our new digs will be The Gilded Iguana Hotel and Resort. Work-life balance is sweet.
