Web Interface Design

User Interface Design

Need a web application designed or prototyped?

Web Prototyping and User Interface (UI) Design is our method of designing a series of hyper-linked XHTML/CSS documents that provide a working and visually accurate version of how your web application should appear and function. Think about it like the blueprints to your web application. Viewed through a browser the application UI will behave and feel exactly like the finished product.

Finding little but frustration with standard technical specs, we sought to create a design system where we could demonstrate to both the client and the programming team exactly how a web-based application would work and look by providing a shell of the overall design with hyperlinked examples of static results.

Key Benefits

  • Interactive: End users, investors, partners or test subjects would much rather interact directly rather than just look at a visual program mock up.
  • Flexible: The iterative and agile process is more flexible, allowing iterations to be made in a simpler way.
  • Simple: Since the model is clear and understandable, there is little room for functional error.
  • Preparation: Back end coding and design are all figured out before the heavy lifting of development.
  • Conserve: As opposed to a long technical spec, much of the actual wire frame files are used in development, so very little time and effort is wasted.

There are loads of great benefits to web prototyping and design new or overhauled applications. If you’d like to view some of the web prototyping we’ve done over the years take a look through our UI design and prototype work.
