From the beginning TED MED was an inspiring project. Working closely with conference director Marc Hodosh, the project had to be completed at breakneck speed to ensure it could be launched for timely registrations.

The Challenge
The first issue to tackle was for the TED MED website to have a separate identity from the TED brand it emerged from. The site also needed to support several objectives such as providing an exciting, accessible lineup of speakers and allow for online registration. To complicate matters, the conference director would be traveling during the website build; we would have to coordinate the entire project by phone and email.
Solution & Results
After a few discovery calls, we narrowed the priority items down and started laying out the site. A series of static designs were used to get the client’s feedback and approval. Using our Agile and Prototyping methodologies we delivered the completed site in 4 weeks. The combination of Flash, XML and jQuery features make for an amazing web experience without losing any of the search marketing optimization elements. Within weeks of the site launch, the event was almost entirely booked up.
