The Challenge
Registering a company online is becoming a standard practice for new businesses, but the complicated nature of the process drove lawyer and entrepreneur Tom Rosedale to consider creating a simpler solution. He wanted a site that would turn the complexity of registering online into something as easy as buying a book on Amazon. This would require a quantum improvement in usability over competitors’ websites and an extremely well optimized search structure.
Solution & Results
Working closely with the client, we studied several competitors, dissected where they were going wrong and figured out how to improve the process. Once the UI opportunities were identified, we developed then tested a design prototype with several end users and industry advisors. The result was a clean, simple set of steps that reduced the friction associated with registering a new business. A welcome surprise: when the site was still in a quiet launch stage, customers were already finding the site and completing transactions in minutes.
