We’ve got quite a number of fantastic design events we are hosting and speaking at this fall and we’d love to use this opportunity to meet all of you – our faithful blog readers and followers at these events. No More UX Nightmares: Simple Design For Complex Needs

When: October 18, 8:00am-9:00am

Where: IBM Innovation Center, Waltham MA

What: A UI Design Breakfast where Richard will be speaking about simple solutions for complex and robust UI design projects; the overarching theme will be about delivering an optimal user experience by keeping design solutions simple, no matter what the circumstances. Drink coffee, eat bagels.

Who: Fresh Tilled Soil, in association with BREW for developers, software and IT professionals, entrepreneurs, marketers, executives, founders, established corporations and companies looking to go mobile with a website or application, or move their software to the cloud.

Environmental Design On The Web

When: October 24, 7:00pm-9:00pm

Where: Brightcove Office, 290 Congress St, Boston, MA

What: Tim Wright, Fresh Tilled Soil’s very own Senior UI Designer and author or Learning Javascript: Fundamentals of Modern Javascript, will speak at Boston Frontend Developers Meetup about how we arrived at responsive design as a solution, the path we’re moving down, where we can push it to the next level, and most importantly, how to get there.

Who: Boston Frontend Developers Meetup will host the meetup. Folks who will attend are designers, front end developers, hackers, mobile enthusiasts, engineers, geeks, founders, entrepreneurs, marketers, movers and skakers of all kinds.

Design and Thinking: Boston Film Premiere

When: October 25th, 6:30pm-9:00pm

Where: Wayfair, 24th floor, 177 Huntington Ave, Boston MA

What: A private screening of the award-winning documentary, Design & Thinking, followed by cocktails and networking.

Who: hosted by Fresh Tilled Soil and Wayfair for executives, creatives, software and IT developers, product designers, product developers, digital agencies, and those looking to better understand the impact of design on business, society, and technology

Fresh Tilled Soil Presents: Behance Portfolio Review Night

When: October 29, 2012, 6-8pm

Where: MassChallenge, One Marina Park Drive, 14th Floor, Boston MA

What: A Boston community event where designers across industries are invited to attend, network, and review their creative portfolios with peers in a shared area of expertise. Fresh Tilled Soil is leading up a few groups focused on web and mobile design, design and front end development, and illustrative design; we’re appointing group portfolio reviews in areas including design including print, industrial and exhibit design, and more.

Who: Fresh Tilled Soil in association with Behance’s Portfolio Review Week, & our friends at Design Museum Boston.

Cost: $7 a person (covers the cost of drinks)
